Rowan weather: A break before more rain arrives

Things are looking a little gloomy today, and this weekend will be pretty much the same.

Today we have a 90 percent chance of rain and showers. Fog is possible between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., too. South southwest winds will be at 6-16 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph — hold on to your umbrella. We may get an inch of rain today. The high will be 57.

Tonight, the chance of rain decreases to 30 percent, but expect rain at least through 10 p.m., with some patchy fog. The low will be 34, with west northwest wind at 7-9 mph, shifting north after midnight.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a high around 50 and north northeast wind at 5-7 mph calming in the afternoon. Thursday night will be mostly clear and cold, with a low of 28.

Friday will be sunny, with a 20 percent chance of showers after 3 p.m. The high will be 55, with south wind around 6 mph in the morning.

Then showers are likely after 1 a.m., with a 70 percent chance of rain. The low will be 41.

Saturday will be 53 with an 80 percent chance of showers. The chance goes up to 90 percent Saturday night, with a low of 49.

Sunday, too, has an 80 percent chance of showers, mainly before 4 p.m., with a high of 64. Sunday night, the chance of rain drops to 40 percent, with a low of 42.

Monday will have a 30 percent chance of rain, but with partly sunny skies and a high of 56. Then, we’re back to an increasing rain chance, 40 percent for Monday night, with a low around 38.

Tuesday, too, will have a 40 percent chance of showers and be mostly cloudy with a high near 51.
