Rowan weather: More wind and a peek of sun

All aboard the weather rollercoaster — we’re going to see the sun, then some showers, then rain, and then the temperature will drop 30 degrees.
Today will be mostly cloudy and 77 with scattered showers possible after 2 p.m. due to a 50 percent chance of rain. The wind will be from the southwest at 13-20 mph, gusting up to 29 mph.
Tonight’s chance of rain is just 20 percent, with cloudy skies and a low of 41. Northeast wind will be at 7-11 mph.
Saturday brings more rain and a chilly high of 45 degrees. Rain is likely — 70 percent chance — after 10 a.m., with fog developing in the afternoon. East wind will be at 5-8 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.
Saturday night’s chance of showers is 50 percent, with a low of 36. East northeast wind will calm. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and rebound to a high of 60, with north northeast wind around 6 mph in the afternoon. A 20 percent chance of rain moves in after midnight, with a low of 45.
Monday, Presidents’ Day, will have a 30 percent chance of showers, be mostly cloudy and 61. The same chance of rain holds for Monday night, with a low of 53.
For Tuesday, we also have a 30 percent chance of rain, mostly cloudy skies and a high of 70. Same chance of rain Tuesday night, with a low of 57.
The chance of rain increases to 40 percent Wednesday, which will be mostly cloudy and 71. Then we’ll have a 50 percent chance of showers Wednesday night, with a low of 55.
For Thursday, expect mostly cloudy skies and a high of 64, along with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
