Rowan weather: Wet today, very windy Friday

Today will be soggy and could become dangerous, with the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon.
The thunderstorms will begin around 3 p.m. And we’ll have patchy for through most of the day. The chance of rain is 80 percent, with a half to three quarters of an inch possible. We’ll reach a high of 64 with south winds at 5-7 mph.
Tonight’s chance of rain is just 30 percent, with showers mainly before 7 p.m. It will gradually clear overnight, and our low will be 40. Winds will pick up, starting at 9-16 mph from the west northwest, then gusting as high as 26 mph.
Friday’s wind may trigger a high wind advisory. It will be sunny and 55 with northwest wind at 14-20 mph, gusting up to 33 mph.
Friday night will be clear and cold, with a low of 32 and northwest wind at 10-13 mph, gusting up to 22 mph.
Saturday will be sunny and 55 again, with more wind from the north northwest at 9-16 mph. Gusts could reach 28 mph. Saturday night will be clear, with the low dipping below freezing to 31.
Sunday will be sunny and 57, with another clear night and another low of 32.
Monday will be 57, with sunny skies. The low will be 38.
For Tuesday, we’ll have a 40 percent chance of showers, but be partly sunny, with a high of 56. Tuesday night will have a 30 percent chance of showers, mostly cloudy skies and a low of 38.
And Wednesday should be mostly sunny and 57.
