SALISBURY — Authorities say a sex offender who was placed on its most-wanted list late last week was arrested hours after the list went public.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office was looking for Mitchell Varnadore, 31, for failing to notify authorities of an address change as a sex offender.

Authorities say he was arrested Friday at a home in Rockwell. He remains in the Rowan County jail under a $1,500 secured bond.
