SPENCER — On Feb. 22, several members of the Spencer Police Department were recognized at an awards ceremony at Town Hall.

Those honored for their work in 2017 are:

• Officer W.  Comer: Most DWI arrests, most activity logs, most museum checks, most residential foot patrols.

• Officer C. Insley: Most citations, most criminal papers served, most felony arrests, most misdemeanor arrests, most traffic stops.

• Officer T. Honeycutt: Most business foot patrols, most incident reports completed, most park checks, most civil papers served, most traffic crashes investigated.

• Officers Insley and Honeycutt: Most house checks.

• Officer S. Safrit: Police Leadership Award, voted on by all members of the Police Department.

• First Sgt. M. Brigman: Highest qualification score with all issued weapons.
