SALISBURY — Two vehicles were reported stolen and four others were broken into at Holly Leaf Apartments on Friday and Saturday.
The stolen vehicles, a 2016 Nissan Sentra and a 2016 Black Nissan Maxima, had a combined estimated value of $45,000.
Property lost with the stolen vehicles is valued at roughly $800, including a $400 CPAP breathing machine, $300 in cash, a $50 purse, and identifying documents such as driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations and Social Security cards.
Lt. Greg Beam of the Salisbury Police Department advises people to be vigilant about locking their doors and to keep valuables out of their vehicles.
Most car break-ins and thefts occur in parking lots where thieves can easily check for and access unlocked vehicles or when vehicles are left running and unattended, Beam said.
