The grand opening of Lake Corriher Wilderness Area that was set for Saturday has been rescheduled because of the forecast for bad weather.

Heather Wood, administrative assistant for the town of Landis, said the opening has been moved to May 5.

The opening will feature a 5K trail run, food, ice cream, disc golfing, fishing and kayaking.

It will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 265 Tranquil Lake Drive in China Grove.
