Rowan weather: Heating up today, with bad air

We had another nice, cool morning, but the heat is going up today and it’s going to be a Code Orange air quality action day.
Today will be sunny and 91, with north wind at 5-7 mph. Ground level ozone and particle pollution will be a problem today. Code Orange means the air is unhealthy for sensitive groups, such as children, active adults and those with heart of respiratory diseases. Limit your time outdoors today.
Tonight will be mostly clear and 68, with light northwest wind.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 92. It will be a Code Yellow air day, with ozone and particle pollution at higher levels. Unusually sensitive people may be affected. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible after 3 p.m. Winds will be west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
The chance of storms and showers goes up to 40 percent Wednesday night, mostly between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 69. Winds will be calm until around midnight, then from the northeast around 6 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.
Thursday will be partly sunny and 87, with northeast wind around 8 mph. There will be a 30 percent chance of storms and showers after 4 p.m. The same chance of rain is possible Thursday night, tapering off around midnight. It will be partly cloudy and 68.
Friday will be mostly sunny and 88. The low will be 68, with partly cloudy skies.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 91, with a low of 71 and partly cloudy skies.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and 92, with the typical summertime 30 percent chance of showers and storms . The low will be 71, with the same chance of rain.
Monday will be partly sunny and 92, again with a 30 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms.
