KANNAPOLIS — A Kannapolis man was charged Thursday with a sex offense after an FBI investigation, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

Brendon Michael Rothrock, 20, of the 7800 block of Longbriar Drive, was charged with third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Rowan County deputies assisted in Rothrock’s arrest at his home in Kannapolis.

He remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.
