Police: Teenager charged with May robbery at Zion Hills Apartments

SALISBURY — A teenager was arrested in the May 31 armed robbery of a Kannapolis woman at Zion Hills Apartment complex.
He is the second teen charged in the robbery.
Deviyion Unique Barnhardt, 18, was charged Wednesday with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
He also has pending charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill; misdemeanor resisting or obstructing a public officer; and failure to appear in court.
Authorities said a Rowan County sheriff’s deputy served an arrest warrant on Barnhardt at his home in the 200 block of Evergreen Drive. He remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $191,000 secured bond.
Police arrested Jeremiah O’Brien Mason, 17, in the robbery during a multi-agency roundup in June. He remains in the county jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
