A Rowan man wanted by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office for drug possession and a weapons offense was located, authorities said, after receiving tips from the community about his location.
Gary Ray Waller Jr., 41, whose last known address was Gaskey Road, was placed on the most wanted list a week ago. He was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Officials said Waller was arrested on Friday at a home in Gold Hill. Investigators received a number of tips through Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers after officials released details via the media on Waller’s whereabouts. Investigators were able to conduct surveillance of the Gold Hill home and found him hiding in that home.
Two others, Alyssa Mary Brooke Ashley and Jai Montreal Winchester, who were added to the most wanted list are still being sought. Ashley, 31, whose last known address was Faith Road, is charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin.
Winchester, 23, whose last known address is Sells Road, is charged with possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Any information on the current locations of the suspects will be kept confidential. A reward is offered for information leading to their location and capture. Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff’s Office at 704-216-8700.
