SALISBURY — The United Way Agency Partners and WSAT Radio will host an Every Day, the United Way radiothon on Tuesday.

Listeners can call WSAT Radio, 1480 AM and 103.3 FM, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to request a song for $10 or more. They can pick a song from any genre and can ask that it be played in honor or memory of someone.

“If the station doesn’t have it already, we’ll download it,” Nan Buehrer, executive director of Rufty-Holmes Senior Center a United Way partner agency. “People enjoy listening because you just don’t know what you’re going to hear.”

More than 20 guest DJs will be playing songs throughout the day. DJs Buddy and Lance Poole will share information about United Way organizations.

The Every Day, the United Way radiothon will benefit Rowan County United Way and 16 organizations.
