Man charged with marijuana possession after multi-agency search

SALISBURY — A local man remains behind bars after a multiagency search of his North Ellis Street home turned up marijuana, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Leroy Quider, 60, of 1529 N. Ellis St., was charged Monday with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana; selling a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a day care facility; misdemeanor possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance; and maintaining a dwelling to sell a controlled substance.
On Monday, the Police Department, with assistance from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, searched Quider’s home based on an investigation of marijuana sales.
Officers seized 27.4 grams of marijuana and a .45 caliber Hi-Point handgun.
Quider remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
