SALISBURY — A Salisbury man went to the hospital with multiple stab wounds after he said a friend let two men into his house and one of them stabbed him and took a shotgun he refused to sell, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim, 24, said he let a female friend from high school stay at his home Friday night in the 5500 block of Old Concord Road. About 4:30 a.m., she told the man she wanted to leave and would call a ride. He told her he was tired and going to bed.
The woman let two men inside the house. One of whom was interested in buying a shotgun he saw hanging on a wall in the living room.
The victim told the man the gun was not for sale. When he looked away, he was hit on the back of the head with the stock of the shotgun, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. The second man began stabbing the victim.
The woman and the two men then left with the shotgun.
The victim went to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center with stab wounds to his upper right thigh and three-inch cuts across his back.
No one has been arrested. The investigation is continuing.
