SALISBURY — The Historic Salisbury Foundation is assessing the Oct. 13-14 OctoberTour and looking ahead to next year’s.
Events coordinator Leah Campion said the number of people who took this year’s tour was down, likely because of Hurricane Michael. Fortunately, none of the property owners on the tour lost power, she said.
The tour was expanded into Spencer with multiple houses open for visitors and ending at Library Park. Campion said the foundation received positive comments about the change.
Campion said next year, the tour will “return to our normal roots.”
Planning is underway.
“Rowan County has so many houses that people don’t know about,” Campion said.
The chairman of next year’s tour will be announced in the spring.
