Lanny Edgar Deal and Joretta Myers Deal of Mooresville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 15, 2018 at an anniversary reception given by their children at Enon Baptist Church.

The Deals were united in marriage on Dec. 15, 1968 by the Rev. Malvin Swicegood at Enon Baptist Church in Salisbury. Lanny retired from KOSA Corp. after 33 years of service. Joretta is a homemaker.

The couple have three children, Stacy Elaine Deal, Jonathan Scott Deal and Shannon Deal Lefler. The also have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
