SALISBURY — The city has begun to address parking concerns to come with the development of Bell Tower Green Park.

This week, the Public Services Department started restriping the 100 block of South Church Street to create diagonal on-street parking. Crews also will restripe Jackson Street as well.

Craig Powers, assistant public services director, said the city plans to complete the striping in three weeks, depending on the weather.

The road was blocked off Thursday after Public Services crews put down temporary marking, which will be evaluated before permanent markings are done.
