SALISBURY — A sex offender has been charged with failing to notify authorities of an address change.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged James Jessie Lewis, 54, with the felony offense on Friday.

In other Sheriff’s Office reports:

• A man reported an assault Friday in the 400 block of Grace Church Road.

• A man reported Friday that between Dec. 4 and Dec. 11, someone removed his wallet and jewelry from his home in the 900 block of Rock Grove Church Road.

• A man reported Friday that between Dec. 23 and Jan. 3, someone stole two firearms from his home in the 400 block of Miller Road, China Grove.

• A woman reported a domestic assault Friday in the 3400 block of Mooresville Road.

• A woman reported Saturday that a firearm was stolen from her residence in the 200 block of Ruby Street, Rockwell.

• A man reported that his mother assaulted him at a home in the 2400 block of Old U.S. 70, Cleveland.

• A man reported Sunday that a former employee stole from him in the 500 block Mountain Road, Cleveland.

• Savannah Jade Goodman, 21, was charged Friday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI in the 5900 block of Wright Road, Kannapolis.

• Noah Tyler Williams, 21, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI in the 4200 block of Third Creek Church Road, Cleveland.

• Samuel Wayne Dean Grandy, 29, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 200 block of Ranchwood Drive.

• Dianna Mazzola Hartsell, 40, was charged Saturday with simple assault after striking her adult son at a home in the 2400 block of Old U.S. 70, Cleveland.

• Priscilla Ann Smith, 37, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor communicating threats in the 10700 block of Unity Church Road, Mooresville.

• Terry Brett Bunn, 34, was charged Sunday with felony possession of controlled substance Schedule II in the 2500 block of East N.C. 152, China Grove.

• Mason Clifford McCorkle, 29, was charged Sunday with felony possession of a controlled substance Schedule I in the 1000 block of Wildflower Lane.
