Editor Josh Bergeron’s roadside litter column published Sunday (“Roadside litter easy to prevent”) was timely, well written and much needed.

We have an epidemic of litter on our roadways and, finally, we are addressing it.

County commissioner Judy Klusman mentioned it’s a cultural problem that requires additional education. Why can’t there be a course in public schools that’s taught to every student and focusing on why littering is so wrong.

Its still against the law to litter.
