Salisbury man robbed at gunpoint after Facebook Marketplace sale

SALISBURY — A Salisbury man clung to a car to retrieve a stolen game console that was stolen at gunpoint, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
The man believed two people had come to buy the console after agreeing to the sale on Facebook Marketplace.
The 20-year-old agreed to sell his PlayStation 4 to someone through the social media site where he had listed it. Two people arrived at his Salisbury home about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. One of the men displayed a gun. and took the game console. The men ran to a black or dark green Nissan or Toyota passenger car.
The seller ran after them, holding onto the trunk of the car for about a block until they both jumped out and pointed guns at him. The robbers told the seller to get off the car or he would be shot.
The man was not injured.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
Police officials advise anyone selling items online to do so in a well-lit, public area, preferably one that is crowded.
