SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was charged Friday with stealing clothing from Walmart and returning to the store within minutes to ask for a cash refund.
The Salisbury Police Department charged Coleman Ray Buckwell, 29, of the 500 block of Gold Hill Drive, with felony obtaining property by false pretenses. He remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond.
Officials said Buckwell went into the store, picked up a pair of pants and shirt, and walked out of the store. He sat in his car for a little bit, then went back into the store.
