CLEVELAND — An early Friday morning fire at a barn in Cleveland remains under investigation, according to Rowan County authorities.

The fire was reported about midnight at 615 Third Creek Church Road.

Fire investigator Deborah Horne said someone was burning brush earlier in the evening beside the barn. The barn ignited.

“We are not able to rule out a brush fire (as the cause),” Horne said.
