Rowan weather: Stormy today, but a great weekend

We could see some heavy rain and strong thunderstorms today as a storm system that wreaked havoc over the middle of the country moves our way.
The chance of precipitation is 70 percent, with scattered showers and thunderstorms before noon, then more showers and a thunderstorm from noon to 5 p.m., with more scattered rain and storms after 5.
It will be windy today, with southwest wind around 14 mph, gusting to 24 mph, and higher in thunderstorms. It will be cloudy and 69. Rainfall will be less than a tenth of an inch, with higher amounts in thunderstorms.
Tonight has a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 7 p.m. It will be partly cloudy and 41. West southwest wind of 9-11 mph will shift to the north northwest after midnight, with gusts around 18 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected,
But Saturday will be mostly sunny and 57, with northwest wind at 7-9 mph. The low will dip below freezing to 31, with mostly clear skies and north wind at 5-7 mph.
Sunday will be sunny and 56, with calm wind during the day, then north northeast wind around 5 mph in the afternoon. The low will be 34, with mostly clear skies.
Monday will be sunny and 57. The low will be 33, with partly cloudy skies.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 53, with another low of 33.
It will be sunny again Wednesday, with a high of 56 and a low of 37.
And Thursday should be mostly sunny, too, with a high near 60.
