SALISBURY — Police are investigating a weekend armed robbery at a hotel. The suspect got away with cash from a register and safe.
The Salisbury Police Department says a man went into Comfort Suites, 1040 E. Innes St., about 3 a.m. Saturday. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, gloves, a bandanna covering his face and aviator sunglasses.
The man was completely covered, the hotel clerk said.
The man demanded money while brandishing a black handgun. He left on foot.
The clerk was alone at the front desk at the time of the robbery. She was not injured.
