Man wanted for threatening life of local judge

SALISBURY — A man accused of threatening the life of Rowan County Chief District Court Judge Charlie Brown has been added to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office’s most-wanted list.
Keng Vang has made numerous posts to social media threatening and expressing discontent with law enforcement, the Department of Social Services, and the judicial system, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Vang was charged with child abuse and resisting arrest in 2018.
Vang made specific threats to hang Brown and is wanted for felony threatening a court officer, authorities said.
Vang used to live in Rowan County but is believed to have most recently been living in Mecklenburg or Anson counties.
