SALISBURY — Three suspects in the March 17 thefts from Dick’s Sporting Goods have been identified with assistance from the public.

Deneish Brown of Charlotte was arrested in Charlotte earlier this month. Armani Cloud, 19, and Zjane Johnson, 24, both of Charlotte, are still being sought.

Brown was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

On March 17, three black women entered Dick’s on Julian Road and gathered various clothing, authorities said. They walked toward the exit without paying for the merchandise. When a store employee tried to confront the women, one of the suspects sprayed him in the face with what is believed to be pepper spray, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

The women ran from the store and left in a gray, four-door Honda with its license tag removed. A burgundy four-door car was also seen.

The store employee was treated for the pepper spray attack.

Cloud and Johnson are each wanted on a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
