Blotter: Man reports theft from vehicle

A Woodleaf man reported Friday that two of his vehicles were entered and someone stole items from inside while they were parked at his home in the 1200 block of Old Oak Lane.
The man reported to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office that the theft occurred between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 8:45 a.m. Friday.

• A man reported an assault Sunday in the 6600 block of Long Branch Road.
• Carlos Eugene Farris, 43, was charged Friday with misdemeanor assault on a female in the 200 block of Lake Landing Drive.
• Jennifer Leigh Lovette, 48, was charged Friday with simple assault in the 200 block of East Chamblee Drive.
• Brandon Michael Bassett, 39, was charged Saturday with felony obtaining property by false pretenses in the 1100 block of Richard Street.
• Shelley Larae Evans, 39, was charged Saturday with taking a financial card at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.
• Mariona Hernandez Noyola, 29, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor assault on a female in the 100 block of Shadow Springs Lane.
• Chloe Danielle Shuping, 29, was charged Saturday with misdemeanor aggressive driving in the 2300 block of Statesville Boulevard.
In Salisbury Police Department reports
• Bernard Kendall Ware, 26, and Torrawn Rondell McCall, 25, were charged Sunday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI at the Marriott hotel.
