Bell Tower Green, Inc. is excited to share with the readers of the Salisbury Post, and supporters of Pops at the Post, that we are preparing at this very moment to break ground on what will become one of North Carolina’s premier downtown parks.

This community-driven effort to create a quality greenspace, park and commons area in downtown Salisbury has been successful and inspiring. We are excited that soon, Pops at the Post can return to downtown Salisbury and its attendees will sit in an urban oasis surrounded by flowers and trees.

Although fundraising continues due to cost increases in the construction industry, we are moving forward with construction of our special park as soon as practical. In fact, our only disappointment is that construction is not already underway.

The park will feature many amenities, such as a large water-wall, performance stage, vegetated arbors, creative play equipment for children and many trees and flowers. It will also serve the citizens of Rowan County with new exterior parking spaces, public restrooms, wi-fi, and multiple gathering and public performance spaces.

Our board has worked tirelessly touring other parks and speaking with park professionals to ensure that this park can stand the test of time. From safety and cleanliness to functionality and infrastructure, we believe that this park will be a source of pride for all citizens of Rowan County.

Construction is expected to take approximately 18 months, and we will be providing updates publicly through our website, press releases, and social media. Should we be unable to afford all desired amenities, we may need to phase some elements of the park over time. However, we are working hard to raise the remaining balance so as to build as much of the park from the outset as possible.

Contributions can be made on our website:  www.belltowergreen.com or can be made via mail to Bell Tower Green, P.O. Box 4242, Salisbury, N.C., 28145.  For more information, call 704-637-0511.

In closing, thanks to all of our community for its support, patience, and encouragement. We truly believe that this will be a park that brings us all together, encourages economic development in downtown, and provides a place of inspiration and refuge for our residents.
