SALISBURY — Police are looking for three people who robbed a pizza delivery man after midnight Thursday.
A man was delivering pizzas on Knox Street when he saw someone standing across the street, according to the Salisbury Police Department. As he approached his destination, a second person with a gun stepped out of the shadows and asked where “the bag” was.
The victim told the gunman he was unsure what he was talking about. The gunman told the delivery driver to put down the pizza and give him his wallet. Then a third person appeared and demanded the driver’s cellphone.
The driver said he did not want to hand over his cellphone, and the gunman asked the delivery man if he wanted to get shot.
The three suspects took the driver’s wallet with a bank card, ID and Social Security card inside as well as the driver’s cellphone. They also stole two 14-inch pizzas, one 10-inch pizza and 24 chicken wings.
The victim said he was unable to get a good look at the suspects, police said. The armed suspect had a large gun that he had to hold with two hands.
Police have not made any arrests in the case.
