The heat is not going anywhere anytime soon. Over the next few days, the heat index could reach 100 degrees. Be sure the elderly, children and pets are protected from the extreme heat and have plenty of water.
We continue to have moderate, or code yellow air quality throughout the week, with both particle pollution and ozone at higher levels.
Today will be sunny and hot, with a high of 94. Winds will be west southwest at 5-9 mph in the afternoon. Tonight will be mostly clear and 69, with southwest wind around 6 mph calming in the evening.
Wednesday will be sunny and 95, with west wind increasing to 5-10 mph in the morning and gusting as high as 18 mph. The low will be 69, with mostly clear skies and calming wind.
Thursday will be mostly sunny and 94, with light and variable wind becoming southwest at 9-14 mph. Wind gusts could be as high as 24 mph.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 89; the low will be 65, with partly cloudy skies.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 87, with a partly cloudy night and a low of 64.
