Waterworks’ Family Fun Day set for Saturday at F&M Trolley Barn

SALISBURY — In partnership with the Rowan Arts Council, Waterworks Visual Arts Center will sponsor a free Family Fun Day celebrating the many cultures of Rowan County.
Activities will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the F&M Trolley Barn, 125 E. Liberty St.
Visitors will be able to enjoy live music, rap and dance performances, artist demonstrations and 10 “art creation stations” for children of all ages who can be inspired by different cultures to make take-home projects.
A current exhibiting artist at Waterworks, Jamaul Smith, will be painting while visitors watch.
Alana Hughes of Salisbury Salon & Spa will apply henna art for free.
Here is the schedule for dance and music performers:
• 11 a.m.: Demi Day.
• Noon: Dancing Queens & Kings of Salisbury.
• 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.: Keith Holland & Friends N Christ.
• 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.: Latin Dancers, Huepa Culture & Arts Institute.
