Looks like we may be in for a bumpy ride all the way through Tuesday with showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce large hail, damaging winds and heavy downpours. Tornadoes are a possibility.

Today will be cloudy and 85, with south wind at 6-9 mph. The chance of showers and thunderstorms is 60 percent, with most of the rain after 5 p.m. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible, with higher amounts in thunderstorms.

Tonight’s chance of showers and storms is also 60 percent, mainly before 2 a.m., then again after 5 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 68, with south southwest wind at 6-8 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, but thunderstorms could bring more.

Thursday will have a 30 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms after noon. It will be partly sunny and 86, with west southwest wind at 6-8 mph.

The same chance of rain is expected Thursday night, with showers and storms before 2 a.m., then showers after 4 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 68, with light west wind.

Friday has a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy and 82, with northeast wind around 5 mph in the afternoon. The chance of showers and storms goes up to 70 percent Friday night. It will be cloudy and 66.

Saturday, graduation day for Rowan-Salisbury Schools, will be cloudy and 76, with a 70 percent chance of showers. The same chance of rain is possible Saturday night, with a low of 65 and cloudy skies.

Sunday, too, will have a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with showers before noon and showers and storms between noon and 4, then more showers and storms throughout the afternoon. It will be cloudy and 77.

Sunday night, same old song: a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m., then fewer storms between 10 and 1 a.m., then mostly showers. it will be cloudy and 67.

We don’t get a break Monday, either, with a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be cloudy and 80. And the same chance of rain is likely Monday night, which will be mostly cloudy and 68.

Tuesday will be partly sunny and 79, with a 50 percent chance of showers.
