Iredell authorities looking for Cleveland man in dirt bike thefts

STATESVILLE — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Cleveland man who is accused of stealing dirt bikes and four-wheelers in eastern Iredell County.
Joshua Rick Bass, 32, of 1701 Oswalt Amity Road, is wanted on charges of felony possession of a counterfeit instrument, felony larceny of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officials said the incidents occurred April 16 at 2159 Mountain Road, Statesville.
Bass is wanted for questioning in connection with several stolen four-wheelers and dirt bikes. Several witnesses have said they saw Bass riding a green four-wheeler in the area of Oswalt Amity and Triplett roads along and other areas in Troutman and eastern Iredell County, said Sheriff Darren Campbell.
Authorties says it is possible he may be staying in Rowan County.
Bass has an extensive criminal history including charges of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon; assault by pointing a gun; felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; felony possession of methamphetamine; breaking and entering; felony obtaining property by false pretense; possession of heroin; larceny after breaking and entering; misdemeanor communicating threats ;and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
