Multiple Post readers asked when Fourth Street and Yadkin Avenue in Spencer will be paved.
The exact date is unclear.
According to Jason Wilson, assistant utilities director of Salisbury-Rowan Utilities, there are plans for a water line replacement between Fourth Street and Yadkin Avenue.
The contract is in place and construction will begin July 10. It is a 120-day contract, Wilson said, so the completion date is expected to be Nov. 7.
“Construction for pavement cannot be completed until the water line replacement is done” Wilson said.
After Nov. 7, paving should begin for the area between Fourth Street and Yadkin Avenue, Wilson said.
According to Carolina Site Works Construction Co., the process could take “a few days,” depending on the length of the road. The weather might influence the work schedule as well.
