SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was charged with inappropriately touching a teenager at his home.

The victim is a 15-year-old girl.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday charged Robert Neal Aldridge, 45, of the 4600 block of Jack Brown Road, with statutory sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child.

Officials said they received information from the Cabarrus County Child Advocacy Center that the teen was staying at a friend’s house and the father put his hand down her pants and touched her.

The incident occurred at the Salisbury home March 14 and was reported to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office on May 30.

Aldridge remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.
