Salisbury Police say a woman was robbed at knifepoint after walking Sunday night at Forest Hills Park on Grove Street. The suspect stole the woman’s car and then abandoned it a short distance away.
The 38-year-old woman had been walking at the park and was heading back to her car when she was approached by a man with a knife. He threatened to use the knife if she didn’t “give him what he wanted,” police officials said.
He took her car and it was found about half a mile away in front of 723 N. Craige St. Her purse was tossed onto the floorboard and her wallet had been stolen, police said. The victim told police she had credit cards and $60 in cash inside the purse.
She was not injured in the robbery, which occurred around 8 p.m. Police continue to investigate the robbery.
