UPDATE: Air Quality Alert Rowan weather: Hot and humid again

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in Raleigh has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone for the Charlotte area, until 8 p.m. An Air Quality Action Day means that Ground Level Ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
It’s a new week, but the same old hot and humid weather.
Today will be mostly sunny and 92, with north northeast wind around 6 mph.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy and 73, with patchy fog after 3 a.m.
Tuesday will start with patchy fog, then be partly sunny and 92 again. There will be a 20 percent chance of showers and storms after 1 p.m. Winds will be calm in the morning, then southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday night will also have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 73, with light south wind.
And Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 92, again with a 20 percent chance of showers and storms after 3 p.m. Winds will be southwest at 5-9 mph. The low will be 73, with mostly cloudy skies and still the 20 percent chance of showers and storms.
Thursday will be partly sunny and 90, with a 30 percent chance of late afternoon showers and thunderstorms. That will continue through 7 p.m. It will be a mostly cloudy night with a low of 73.
Friday will be mostly sunny and 92, with a partly cloudy night and a low of 74.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 94, with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms. The same chance of rain is possible Saturday night, with partly cloudy skies and a low of 73.
Sunday’s high will be 93, with mostly cloudy skies and a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
