SALISBURY — A safe with money inside and tattoo equipment and merchandise were stolen in a break-in at a local tattoo shop.
Owner Shaun Nunn reported to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office that someone broke into Voodoo Ink overnight Thursday.
Nunn said he left the business about 11 p.m. Wednesday and returned about 9:30 p.m. Thursday. He noticed a window was pried open. He told a deputy that $2,500 in a safe was missing, as well as body jewelry, tattoo equipment, apprentice supplies and a Husky tool kit.
While investigating the break-in, the deputy asked Nunn whether he knew there was an arrest warrant out for him in Iredell County. Nunn said he was not aware of a warrant.
The warrant was on a charge of misdemeanor secreting lien property. Nunn is accused of refusing to surrender a 2011 Harley Fat Boy motorcycle on which Creekside Finance was issued a judgment for possession of the motorcycle.
