Holshouser 70th Anniversary

Donald and Geraldine Holshouser celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. To commemorate this occasion, a vow renewal ceremony was held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 3 p.m. followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. Rev. Dale Kinley officiated at the ceremony. The reception was attended by approximately 90 family and friends, including their three children, Debbie Richards, Joyce Benton and Michael Holshouser; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The Holshousers were married on July 3, 1949 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church by David Johnson. Donald, now retired, worked at Southern Railway and John Deere. He has been in Scouting since 1950. He is currently the founder of Holshouser Incorporated. Geraldine, now retired, worked at PPG, Walker Mobile Home and General Electric.
