SALISBURY — A reader has asked what is being built behind the Food Lion supermarket on Mooresville Road. The lot is across from a KFC restaurant, off Jake Alexander Boulevard.

Teresa Barringer of the city’s Community Planning Services Department says the property will be the site of a NAPA Auto Parts store. It is set to be about 8,960 square feet.

Although the zoning permit was issued April 2, that does not determine when the building will be completed.

John Flower Jr. of Asheville is the owner of the property, Barringer said. The contractor is CSC Building of Morganton.
