Rowan weather: Plenty of sunshine after cool start

Rowan County is having the coolest morning temperatures since spring, but it won’t last long. The next week will be sunny and dry, with rising temperatures. It is very dry, though, and we need some rain.
Today will be sunny and 79, with calm wind. It is another Code Yellow air quality day for ozone.
Tonight will be clear and 53, with calm wind.
Saturday will be sunny and 85, with calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph. It, too, will be a Doe Yellow air quality day. The low will be 59, with clear skies and calm wind.
Sunday will be sunny and 87, with south southwest wind around 6 mph in the afternoon. The low will be 61, with mostly clear skies.
Monday, the first day of fall, will be sunny and 88. The normal high should be around 80. Monday night will be partly cloudy and 62.
Tuesday will be sunny and 85, with a low of 59 and mostly clear skies.
The high will be 87, with mostly sunny skies, on Wednesday. It will be partly cloudy night with a low of 63.
The 90s return Thursday, with sunny skies and a high of 90.
