Blotter: Couple charged with writing bad checks, meth possession

SALISBURY — A couple who live on Gold Knob Road have been charged with larceny, multiple counts of obtaining property by false pretense, and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Hannah Elizabeth Waller, 33, and Justin Luke Fleming, 38, whose address was given as the same apartment on Gold Knob Road were charged with obtaining property by false pretense associated with check and gift-card transactions.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.
Waller was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond. Fleming’s bond was $27,000.
In another report, the Sheriff’s Office charged two men with breaking and entering. larceny and possession of burglary tools in connection with a theft from a building at 730 Zion Church Road, Gold Hill.
The break-in was Friday.
Jason Michael Bolin, 39, and Justin Brent Miller, 40, both of Rockwell, are accused of stealing a transformer valued at $20,000.
Miller’s bond was set at $20,000; Bolin’s, at $5,000.
In other Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:
• A man reported a break-in Thursday in the 100 block of Morgan Acres Drive, Gold Hill.
• A man reported Thursday that an employee stole from his business in the 700 block of Campbell Avenue, Kannapolis.
• Teri Lynn Covello, 34, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor breaking and entering in the 100 block of Morgan Acres Road, Gold Hill.
• Judy Le, 22, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 300 block of Sunset Drive.
• Carl Keith Brindle, 32, was charged Thursday with felony possession of a stolen vehicle at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.
• Mark Richard Page, 60, was charged Thursday with felony statutory sex offense at the Rowan County Courthouse.
• Elizabeth Grace Heffner, 25, of Asheboro, faces charges of heroin, crystal meth and drug paraphernalia possession; assault and battery; and resisting a public officer.
• David M. Yarboro, 46, of Mooresville Road, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense and resisting a public officer. Yarboro’s bond was set at $5,000.
• Antwan Maleik Jones, 44, of Salisbury, was charged with breaking and entering and larceny by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. He is accused of breaking into a building on Andover Drive in Charlotte and taking $660 worth of items, including jewelry, money, gaming equipment and autographed baseballs. His bond was set at $5,000. The theft occurred Sept. 26.
• Caleb William Honeycutt, 47, of China Grove, was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. He was placed under $10,000 bond.
In Salisbury Police Department reports:
• A man reported a fight Saturday at the Fish Bowl, 127 E. Innes St.
• A man on Saturday reported a shooting into an occupied property in the 200 block of Castlewood Drive.
• A woman reported Sunday that someone stole belongings from her vehicle parked at Days Inn hotel, 321 Bendix Drive.
• A man reported an assault Sunday in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue.
• A man reported Sunday that someone stole items from his vehicle while parked in the Home2 Suites by Hilton, 1300 S. Jake Alexander Blvd.
• Brenda Gilmore Wingate, 62, was charged Sunday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue.
• Jeffrey Jerome Bame, 48, was charged Monday with misdemeanor assault on a female in the 1800 block of Rosemont Street.
