Kudos to the City Council for taking seriously the possibilities for opportunity zones in Salisbury.  Thanks to our mayor for meeting with White House officials and spearheading a visit to our city.

Scott Turner, executive director of the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council, shared with me that he was so impressed with the meeting. He said officials seldom see the community at these meetings.

We showed up and the mayor and staff presented our needs.
