Letters: Monzon would bring unity, not division to city

Residents of Salisbury, please take the time to get out and vote in this year’s municipal elections. You can vote early at the Board of Elections in the old Salisbury Mall until November 1. You can vote on Election Day in your normal polling place on November 5. You need to make your voice heard.

When voting, please take the opportunity to vote for Giannina Monzon for Salisbury City Council.

Giannina is a young, new, fresh voice in the political arena. As a mother, Giannina is passionate about making Salisbury safe by supporting a stronger police force. As an entrepreneur, Giannina is committed to making Salisbury economically sound by increasing job opportunities and economic growth. As a Christian, Giannina is pledging to bring unity rather than division in Salisbury.

As a conservative, Giannina knows how to be fiscally responsible. As a Latina, Giannina understands the need for diversity in today’s government. I can’t think of anyone better to be elected to the Salisbury City Council.

After voting for Giannina, there are three other Conservative voices running for City Council: Karen Alexander, Brian Miller and John Struzick. Consider voting for these candidates as well in an effort to get the Salisbury City Council back on the right track.

And remember, in Salisbury, the candidate with the most votes becomes mayor. If you don’t have five candidates to vote for, you don’t have to vote for five. You can always just vote these four candidates and no more.

Don’t add a vote for someone you may not be comfortable with as mayor.
