Al Heggins makes black and brown children feel that they can do anything. As of my 18 years of growing up in Salisbury, I never seen someone like Al Heggins, who is so involved with the youth.

Mrs. Heggins cares about us, she makes us feel appreciated and she makes sure our voice is heard. I met Mrs. Heggins two years ago at a candidates forum. Just listening to her speak, I just knew she was going to be on city council. She made me feel as if I could be in the political world and that anything is possible no matter what.

I’m proud to say I support Al Heggins because she is an idol to our youth and she is showing us we can do it if we put our mind to it.
