China Grove police looking for Circle K store robber

CHINA GROVE — The China Grove Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find a man who robbed a Circle K convenience store.
Police said the man walked away with cash from the register and a case of cigarettes.
According to a news release, a robbery in progress was reported at the store, located at 513 N. Main St., at 3:40 a.m. Monday. A man had demanded the clerk turn over money from the register as well as a case of cigarettes. He did not show a weapon, according to a police statement.
The African American man appeared to be in his 40s, was bald, and had a stocky build. He was between 5 foot 7 inches and 5 foot 10 inches tall, according to a description provided to police.
