Pastoral Anniversary at New Beginning
CONCORD — New Beginning Church of God, 5717 Alexander Road, hosts the 17th Pastoral Anniversary for Bishop Gene and Evangelist Willie Roseman. Services begin Saturday at 11 a.m. with speaker Pastor R. Powell of P3 Ministries, Troutman.
Saturday at 7 p.m. , the speaker is Apostle S. Gillespie of Tabernacle of Joy Ministries, Mooresville.
Services conclude on Sunday at 3 p.m. with Dr. Bishop C.R. Minor of Mt. Calvary Apostolic Holiness Church, Statesville.
Luthers’s Lutheran youth group supper
RICHFIELD — The youth group of Luther’s Lutheran Church, at the corner of Stokes Ferry and Richfield Roads, is sponsoring a Thanksgiving supper on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. to raise funds for their mission trip. Cost is by donation.
Birthday service at Outreach Christian Ministries
Outreach Christian Ministries Intl. will be having a birthday service for First Lady Tramika Taylor on Sunday with Lady Leah McNair, Emmanuel Baptist Church of Thomasville, as the speaker. The service will start at 11 a.m. at 722 W. Horah St.
YAMS service at Southern City Tabernacle
EAST SPENCER — At Southern City Tabernacle AME Zion Church, 940 S. Long St., the Young Adult Missionary Society (YAMS) will celebrate Founders Day on Sunday at 11 a.m.
The speaker is Celeste Crocker.
Marva McCain is the local Missionary President and Rev. Patrick Tate is host pastor.
Pastoral Anniversary at Henderson Grove
Henderson Grove Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the 9th pastoral anniversary of Rev. Perry J. Dye and First Lady Cassandra S. Dye on Sunday. The 11 a.m. speaker will be Min. T. J. Bridges Jr.
Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. The 3 p.m. guest speaker will be Rev. James Ledbetter III, pastor of Shady Grove Baptist Church of East Spencer.
Pastor Appreciation service at United Baptist Church
KANNAPOLIS — United Baptist Church, 3001 Clermont Ave., will celebrate Pastor and Mrs. John E. Jones’ Appreciation Service on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Chief Apostle Dr. Vanessa T. Medley will be the guest speaker.
Dr. Medley is a mentor, teacher, counselor and instructor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pastoral counseling from Jacksonville, Fla; and associate and bachelor’s degree as summa cum laude in criminal justice social work with a concentration in human services.
Pastor Appreciation at Hall’s Temple
Hall’s Temple Holiness Church will host Pastor Elder Bruce Jr.’s Appreciation Service on Sunday at 3 p.m. Guest speaker for the occasion is Pastor Anthony Williams of Tower of Power United Holy Church.

The United Ministerial Alliance will host its joint worship service at 7 p.m. on Sunday at Fairview Heights Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Road. Rev. Hamlet B. Kollie Sr., pastor of Christ Lambs Church Ministries, Salisbury, will deliver the message. Rev. Clarence and Evangelist Cathye Marlin are host pastors.
The UMA’s business meeting will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. at Love Christian Center, 102 North Long St., East Spencer.
David Phelps in concert
WINSTON-SALEM — Multi-Dove and Grammy Award-winning recording artist David Phelps will be featured at Oaklawn Baptist Church, 3500 Kernersville Road, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5, just one stop on the exciting It Must Be Christmas Tour.
Perhaps best known as the powerful tenor for the Gaither Vocal Band, Phelps has performed at the White House, New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
