SALISBURY – Local attorney Ronald J. Bowers was recognized for 50 years of service and spoke about the milestone at the 27th District Bar’s annual meeting Nov. 20 at the Country Club of Salisbury.

Officers elected for 2019-20 included Timothy G. Gould as president, B. Ashley Andrews as vice president, and John A. Basinger as secretary-treasurer.

Jennifer Davis Hammond continues as district councilor.

The 27th District Bar serves lawyers who live and practice in and around Rowan County. Membership in the District Bar is required by state law in conjunction with memberships in the State Bar Association.

The 27th District Bar Association has about 155 members.
