Letter: Wineka’s writing will be missed in Salisbury Post

It is with much regret to read that Mark Wineka is “breaking the point on his pencil.”
What a joy it has been reading the many Wineka stories. I felt the same way when Rose Post retired that a void will be felt on good writing; however, she left us in good hands with Mark.
The Salisbury Post has been blessed to have such wonderful writers. I am sure that there will someone to pick up the mantle, but not like Mark, who has a dry wit but can truly tell a story. Not write his opinions but to a write story as it was told.
I am delighted that he will continue to be editor the Salisbury Magazine, which I have also enjoyed reading. His stories in the magazine made him stretch.
Good luck, Mark, as you take the time to just enjoy life.
