Letter: Bank should be team player for Salisbury

It would be nice if Wells Fargo or whoever owns the parking lot at the corner of Church and Fisher streets were more of a team player for Salisbury.

I can’t imagine anything more maddening than leaving a restaurant after having a nice meal with your spouse, friends or family only to find your car has been towed.

Unless you were parked in some fire line, why even tow the car at all? A pricey parking ticket slapped on the windshield would have been more sufficient. Heaven forbid the owners of the towed car had their elderly parents with them.

A lot of businesses are within easy walking distance to that lot. Allowing people to use that lot would be good for those businesses as well as the town itself.

Maybe Salisbury could strike some financial arrangement with the lot owners until its future has been determined. I bet it would be a lot cheaper than having another one of those feasibility studies that ends up telling us what we’ve known all along.

Downtown Salisbury at night has a pretty cool vibe to it. Let’s make it easier for people to take advantage.
